if GOD had a refrigerator...

If God had a refrigerator,
your picture would be on it.

If He had a wallet,
your photo would be in it.

He sends you flowers every spring
and a sunrise every morning.

Whenever you want to talk,
He'll listen..

He can live anywhere in the world,
but He chose your heart..

What about the Christmas
gift He sent you in
Bethlehem, not to mention
that Friday at Calvary?

Face it friend. He's crazy
about you...

HimiG hANdog sA kaLIkaSan cOntEst....

For this whole week, our school, LLCI celebrates the Linggo ng Wika together with the Communication Arts week. As a part of the celebration, we, the 2nd yr. students had our himig handog sa kalikasan contest in our own respective classrooms. Though we lack preparations and practice, we still had a very nice performance, according to our teacher-judge. She told us that she really liked our composition, even though we didn't have our original tune. We really had a tough time in composing our own song which should be about caring for our environment. Yet, despite all the hardships that this activity has brought us, we still had a good time doing it cause we were able to hang out with our friends more. I am looking forward that we will still do this kind of activity in the next schoolyear.......:D

The Fruits for speaking in English ( inside the school's area)

I still remember the time when our class, Yr. II Umanhin, together with our pretty adviser, Ms. Flodeelyne Salabao agreed to speak in English when we are inside the vicinity of the school (of course, speaking in Filipino is NOT allowed). Whoever breaks this rule will be awarded with a fabulous medal with this message on it: " I spoke in Vernacular. Please do not follow me". Terrified and ashamed to wear this so-called "fabulous medal", our class did our very best to speak in English, even though it was not really good. Of course, it's not merely for the sake of not wearing the medal, but to be prepared for job interviews and so many more in the future. Though it is difficult no to speak our own language, we, our class, still did our very best to speak in English to enhance our communication skills.

As a result, we ranked grabbed the award for being the "Best English Speakers" in the whole high school department. Plus, we also received our teachers' appreciation for the effort that we made to speak in English.

the making of the explosions of learning for PATINIKAN

I really had a tough week when we made our learning stations about the biosphere. Why? It's because we need to make it presentable to the visitors that will be coming from the different schools in our district, namely: Isabel National Comprehensive School (INCS), Isabel National High School (INHS), Matlang National High School (MNHS), Mahayag Elem. School, San Francisco National High School, Libertad Elem. School and Holy Child Parish School of Isabel, Inc. (HCPSII). We, the 2nd yr. students had so many complaints regarding this activity in school because in a group, we only have four members and we thought, how can 4 persons make a wonderful output? We really felt unlucky because the 3rd yr. and the 4th yr. students can make their stations either by class or by batch. Besides that, we still have so many projects and assignments to be accomplished like the HRR, that needs to be hand-written and the movie in A.P. Because we lack time and members, we ( some of the 2nd yr. students) didn't sleep for one night just to make the learning stations that also need to have interactive games so that the visitors will be amused when visiting the different stations.

On my part, I really thought that we will never make it because we only spent 1 night making it, but I was wrong. I realized that everything can be done with perseverance, and trust in God, even though these things seemed impossible to be done by our own hands.

When the day came that the stations needs to be displayed and shown to the visitors, I was so happy hearing them say that the stations are nice and beautiful. I also enjoyed explaining to the little kids about our own learning station, the marine and coral ecosystem , because they were really attentive, not like the students in higher levels that are just very passive. Also, I realized that I am more privileged than the other students out there because I have known some things that hey don't even know, that' why I'm really blessed that I get to study in a school that offers quality education.

my summer escapade..... ^_^

whoohh..... summer has already ended and time flies so fast that it's already that 3rd week of classes.... actually, i really wanted to extend my summer for 1 month, but, i know that it's not really possible....

anyway, we had our summer vacation last summer in one of the most famous beaches in the philippines, boracay... actually, i'm not really that excited in going there because whenever we had our vacation in aklan, it's already our tradition to go there (in boracay) and visit my only uncle in my father's side, my uncle gary ledesma.... well, i was expecting to see a spacious beach in boracay, but i was wrong... in fact, in my own point of view, it was already overpopulated!.. there were so many tourists ( including black and white americans ) that were spending their whole time sunbathing, riding banana boats and of course, swimming in the clear waters of the beach... honestly, when we had our last vacation there (about 5 years ago), it was still not overpopulated and there were not so many buildings standing near the seashore of the beach, but now, "hindi na mahulugan ng karayom ang lugar" because of the overpopulation of the people and the buildings... but, these things didn't hinder me in enjoying my precious summer....

besides swimming in the crystal clear waters, we were so lucky to have seen the famous bands in the philippines like chicosci, 6 cycle mind, kamikazee and so many more... and to all the myx fanatics, you should've been there because vj bianca and vj chino were there, too!! in fact, they were the hosts of the concert....we also did some shopping in d'mall ( the so-called "malls there in boracay) and in fact, i bought some keychains there as "pasalubongs" to my friends here in isabel, accessories, plus a souvenir shirt from boracay that was sponsored/made by the company called "island souvenirs"....

all in all, i really enjoyed my summer escapade there in boracay and i'm hoping that i can bring my friends there next summer so that they'll also experience the fun and excitement that i had when i was there... and i also thank God for letting me have such a wonderful summer in boracay.....

ice cream making ( na hindi natuloy) sa bahay nila lisbeth....

last saturday was really spectacular!!!.... well, we were actually planning to make our very own ice cream so that we can eat something cold in school this coming monday... actually, we were so excited to make it.... even the boys who went to lisbeth's house to have their band practice also helped in making it... it was so fun!!! ....( by d way, the other "invaders" in lisbeth's house were elaine, jasmin, lorraine, patrick, dycee, paolo, jermaine, lian and manuel....) then unexpectedly, ning brown out btaw!!... hala... we were so frustrated..... we attempted to call the LMC department so many times... but unluckily, no one answered our call..... we felt very bad because we were so excited in making our very own "ice cream" ( mango flavored, actually...)..so, we did something else....
Jermaine climbed up the mango tree at backyard of lisbeth's house to gather some mangoes for us to eat.... after all the climbing and peeling, we finally indulged into the sweetness of the mangoes..... it was like a satisfying moment for our hungry stomachs... wooh.... the mangoes were so delicious, i even ate 4 of it !! .... we were like the so-called mga-bata-sa-kalye when we ate those mangoes because we stayed outside, sitting on the dry grass and pavement as if it was our first time eating those.... but still, we enjoyed it, even though our real plan was to make ice cream..... one of us even said that he/she wanted to stay there forever so that he/she can eat those sweet mangoes over and over again....

Even though we were so angry at first when the lights went out, we were still able to make a very wonderful thing out of it: and that is having a very memorable time with the friends that you have made in your lifetime here in earth.... i really thank God for giving that quality time to us to have fun with our friends so that we will value our friendship more because we know that the time is drawing near when all of us will have to part ways to continue living the life we want here on our dear mother earth.......
